Lakeside Ohio Dock

One of my favorite places is the Lakeside, Ohio Dock. On this night I went down for some sunset pictures but do to high wind the dock was closed. The sunset light and the waves pouring over the dock made for some nice pictures that evening. Min had left the dock early do to the wind. But you could hardly feel the wind standing at the Lakeside Hotel. We spent a week in July in Lakeside Ohio where my wife's family grew up and many still live or travel there once a year. We try to go there at least once a year on Labor Day week end. I hope you enjoy the pictures of life in Lakeside, more to come.

Marblehead Light House

Marblehead Light House on Lake Erie, is the oldest light house still in operation on the Great Lakes. It sits on Marblehead Peninsula Ohio at the opening to Sandusky Bay. From the light house you can see Cedar Point and Johnson Island to the south. To the north is Kelly's Island as well as South Bass Island where Put-in-Bay is located. One of the favorite boating ports on Lake Erie. I like to go to the light house before dawn on Labor day, it is a fitting way to end the summer, watching the sunrise over Lake Erie. I first started taking early morning pictures back in 1984 when I first visited Lakeside, Ohio.
